Let Me Tell You A Story About Me When I Was Young

People ask me all the time to tell me a little bit about yourself. I don't like doing that very much. Have you ever been to an interview and they ask you to do this. I want to turn around and ask them the same thing. It can be a little uncomfortable.

This is my attempt to tell you about me.

What I really think is that you can't get to know someone unless you know who and where they come from. So in this little confession I will describe my family and who I am.

Alternative Medicine Gave Me My Energy Back

I remember it all started in fourth grade. I really got sick. My mom was so worried about me. She took me to so many doctors. I was tired all the time. I was sick all the time. I missed one month of the fourth grade. I don't know my long division well because of that month.

After going to so many doctors and getting so much blood taken out of me they finally said, "He has Mono."

Mono, known as the kissing disease. Me, I was in fourth grade. No I don't know where I got it from, but it wasn't kissing.

The mono destroyed my energy. It destroyed my immune system. I was sick all the time. I was tired. I would fall asleep all the time. A young fourth grader should be full of energy and happiness. Not me!

My Mom took me to a Doctor who was in trouble with the AMA. He did alternative medicine. He gave me vitamin shots, and homeopathic remedies. This doctor did things other doctors didn't do.

My Mom said that I would be crawling around, falling asleep - but as soon as I got the shot I was up and going. Filled with energy.

So, This is where my interest began in alternative medicine.

Chiropractic Gave Me A Quality Of Life

Those of you who don't respect quality of life need to read this. I for one am a believer in the quality over quantity.

When I was eleven years old my Scout Troup was heading for Washington DC. We worked all year to go. I worked so many fundraisers with my scouts. I even sold cotton candy on the side to earn money for my brother and me.
This same summer my baseball team took first place. We went undefeated. I was picked to play first place on the All Star Team that year. Our schedule was fierce for an 11 year old.

We played a hard tournament. We lost our first game, but then came up through the losers bracket to face off with the team we lost in the first game. We lost that game, but it came down to the last couple of plays.

Right after the tournament I became sick. Even though I had energy and could do fun things, my immune system was weak.

This sickness came at a hard time for me. I just finished playing in the All Stars, and my Scout Troup was leaving in the next day to go to Washington DC. These two great momentous occasions collided at the same time.

My Dad took me to the Chiropractor. He adjusted me and asked for me to come back the next day. My parents couldn't take me for some reason, so my Scout Leader volunteered to take me. He suffered from low back pain - but would not visit a Chiropractor.

My visit went well. I flew to Washington DC. I struggled one day being sick and tired, but the trip went well. ??On a side note the Leader didn't feel great his back hurt most of the trip.

Chiropractic helped me to overcome a sickness quickly. Later, I learned that Chiropractic adjustments improve the immune system.

Eliminate Pain From Accidents And Injuries

A little later in life I was in 3 car accidents within a 3 month period. These car accidents left me with neck pain, and low back pain. I guess I am not that good of a driver. Actually, they weren't all my fault and I wasn't driving in all of them either, just bad luck.

I went to a Chiropractor. A different one than before. This one did adjusting and some exercises. This is the guy that I started to think. I would like to do this. I would like to help people.

I was feeling great in no time. Then, something crazy happened. I was jumping on a trampoline. You know crack the egg. Do a flip here and there. Somehow, I crashed right through the trampoline. I landed really bad. My back hurt something serious.

I think this would have been a great funniest home video moment. I wasn't laughing though. Again, it was my Chiropractor that really got me back up and going. I felt better than before.

These experiences set me up to want to help others. I wanted to be like my Chiropractor who helped me live such a great life.

There is one more thing. I enjoy helping others get out of pain. It is one way that I can give back to people what I have received from so many in my life. It is so rewarding to show others they can be pain free.

Education:

  • I will be teaching at a community college coming up next semester
  • I studied business management at BYU
  • I studied with some of the greatest minds of healing and health at Logan. I spent hundreds of thousands of dollars learning how to heal people. That has got to mean something

Professional Training:

  • I studied techniques that encompass the whole body. From structure, nutrition, energy fields, nervous system, emotions, allergies and immune system to hormone and detoxification.
  • I studied functional endocrinology, how to treat diabetes naturally, how to read a blood test to determine how to treat an individual with natural supplements. How to look at hair analysis to determine health. How to send out for extra studies such as saliva, blood, and metabolic tests to get to the real cause of health.
  • I study and read about prevention of the major health issues of today. Heart Disease, Diabetes, and Cancer. I read all the experts of those fields to learn about new and old treatments that are effective. I have found that natural beats out synthetic almost every time. Funny thing is my Dad knows about almost all of them before I do.

Professional Experience:

  • I worked as a Chiropractor for the Colorado Crush Professional Arena Football Team for the season of 2008.
  • I worked for a clinic that specialized in serious low back issues. Disc herniations, sciatica, osteoarthritis, failed back surgeries, and surgical cases that were prevented.
  • I worked for another clinic that specialized in holistic healing. Looking at everything from energy healing, hormones to structural issues and orthotics.

Specialized Skills:

  • Diagnosing, adjusting, muscle work, fascial release, feet analysis, orthotics, cranial adjusting, screening out muscle imbalances.
  • I can tie my shoes super fast. I guess my hands are quick. I can adjust people in a speedy yet gentle and pain free way. I also use adjusting tools that help me get the job done.
  • Blood chemistry, hormone, and hair analysis
  • One of the things that I really feel that I am good at and want to improve is this. I like to take a case that is unique, and challenging and orchestrate the whole matter. Too many of the patients get lost in the whole mess of medical lingo, and networking back and forth only to be lost in the shuffle. I feel for these people. I want to be able to send people where they need to go and explain to them why. I think this would be so valuable in today's helter skelter health mess.

Profession Memberships:

  • American Chiropractic Association
  • Colorado Chiropractic Association

Participates with all of the following insurances:

  • Out of network but accept most insurances
